Walk Score is a tool that will tell you where your home ranks on their walkability index. This is a great tool that can be used for both buyers and sellers. Buyers can use the tool to find out exactly how close their potential new home is to local amenities, and sellers (or more so their agents) can use the tool as a marketing tool to attract people looking for high walk scores.
As we move into a more eco-friendly time, the convenience of having things such as grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance will only increase.
I even found the walkscore of my own home in the Woodbine Corridor and was pleased, but not surprised, to see a 90/100. Hooray for city living!
